Aquamarine

Aquamarine is a blue-green stone that’s often associated with the sea and is sometimes called the “Sea Water Stone”.

The name aquamarine comes from the Latin phrase for “Water of the Sea” and describes the stone’s color and soft, watery translucence. Aquamarine can range in color from almost transparent blue to blue-green to deep sea blue. The mineral beryl, which is essential to aquamarine’s formation, gives it its transparency.
